French user Aurelien customized a CNC router and plasma combo machine in our company. The machine has been running in his workshop for some time now, and Aurelien has done a lot of wood and metal products with this CNC router with plasma machine. Here is a photo he sent us showing woodworking projects produced by CNC router and metal projects produced by CNC plasma.
The biggest feature of this CNC machine is the combination of CNC router machine and CNC plasma machine to make the functions more diverse. This CNC machine has two cutting heads, one is the CNC router spindle, which is used for engraving and cutting non-metallic materials such as wood, acrylic, plywood, etc. The other is a plasma cutting head, which is used to cut metal materials such as stainless steel and carbon steel.

Two independent control systems
The CNC router machine is equipped with Mach3 control system or Syntec control system. The Mach3 control system needs to be connected to a computer to control the operation of the machine through the computer. The control panel of the Syntec controller is installed above the control cabinet for better stability and easy operation.
Plasma cutting machine controller system: Beijing Starifire controller with USB interface, which can directly read files by inserting U disk. Complete functions and simple operation. It includes a THC function panel.
Double worktable:
CNC router machine use aluminum T-slots or a vacuum table (optional). We recommend that you choose an aluminum T-slot table, place it on the plasma table top, and disassemble it according to cutting needs. If you choose a vacuum table, it needs to be placed below, and the vacuum table is easy to be damaged when cutting metal with a plasma machine.
CNC plasma cutting machine adopts hard steel sawtooth table. And there is a water tank on the sawtooth table. When the metal material is cut, it will fall directly into the water tank under the table to cool the material and prevent the operator from being burned when picking up the metal material.
A CNC machine combines the different functions of an ordinary woodworking machine and a metal plasma cutting machine, making it more diverse in the materials it can process.
