Like other configurations of laser machines, the laser cooling system requires routine maintenance to keep it functioning properly.
Whether it is a fiber laser cutting machine or a fiber laser cleaning machine, all
laser machine equipment requires a cooling system. The laser cooling system is responsible for removing heat from the machine, which helps your laser system run for a long time without overheating. Like other configurations of laser machines, the laser cooling system requires routine maintenance to keep it functioning properly.
Maintain the chiller
The chiller helps the machine maintain efficient and stable laser output, therefore, it requires routine maintenance every 6 months. While consistent maintenance can help prevent most problems, there are a few things that can cause your sensors to identify the chiller as a problem. This includes: bent or kinked pipes; cracked or damaged pipes.
If the problem is a bent or kinked pipe, simply loosen the hose to get the
laser machine back into operation. However, if the jar is cracked or damaged, it will need to be replaced with a new tube. Failure to address this issue can result in poor laser beam quality, reduced laser performance, and overheating of various components.
Maintain the water filter
Every six months, you should replace the water filter. This also involves wiping down the filter housing to remove any debris or mold that has formed. This ensures that your filter has a clean area to drop in and that no residue will damage the new filter.
Maintaining Laser Coolant
Similar to coolants used in air conditioning systems, laser coolants are used to cool the heat generated by the laser. Every six months, you need to drain the old coolant and replace it with a new one.
Some maintenance of
laser machine equipment is very easy. Proper routine maintenance can make your fiber laser cutter or fiber laser cleaner last longer.
